The mama behind the movement!
As well as being a mum to two fantastic 10 year old twins, I am a professionally qualified chef and have been working in kitchens since the age of 15. I originally started as a Commis Chef working up to Head Chef over the years, in between studying at college and university. I also gained Front of House experience as a Busser, Head Waitress, Bartender, Door Host, and then into Restaurant Management.
What makes me unique from other chefs?
I am also an award-winning teacher in food hygiene, nutrition, health, allergens and health & safety.
My drive and passion about food hygiene and health & safety has come from knowledge and experience gained from 30 years within the Hospitality Industry.
I have had some fantastic opportunities during my career, including being the key lead advisor on food hygiene and health & safety regularly across social media, standard broadcasting (Radio; Press and TV coverage) as well as a plethora of other PR opportunities.
I qualified as a chef with City & Guilds, then went on to achieve a HND in Hospitality Management, BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management, CIEH Level 4 in Managing Food Safety in Catering and a RSPH in Level 4 in Health & Safety Management, a Post Graduate Degree in Health and Safety Management and a Post Graduate Degree in CIPD – Certificate in Personnel Development.
My early career spanned many high profile and internationally renowned companies including: The Grosvenor House Hotel, Marriott Hotels, P & O Cruise Liners, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Euro Disney Paris, Haagen Dazs, TGI Fridays UK, Taj Resorts & Hotels, Crowne Plaza Hotels,
GlaxoSmithKline, LSG Sky Chefs - Emirates and Virgin Airlines.
I have also been fortune enough to cater some rather special events throughout the UK including Buckingham Palace, Royal Ascot, Kempton Park, Sandown Race Course, Wimbledon Tennis and Henley Regatta.
