When choosing bananas go for fruit that have a brown speckled skin, this means they are ripe and ready to eat. If you would like the bananas to last a few days, look for green tips and yellow skin and keep them at room temperature and not in the fridge.
You can be really creative, kids can eat bananas in many different ways including mashed, baked, smoothies, fruit salad, banana cake, fritters, cookies, porridge, on toast with honey & banana ice - cream.
