G is for Greek Yogurt...

Don’t be fooled that all yogurts are good for your kids, so many popular branded yogurts are packed with added sugar, artificial sweeteners and other ingredients which are not beneficial.

Greek yogurt is great for kids! A single cupful is higher in protein than milk, helping to maintain healthy bones, cartilage, muscles, skin, blood and hair. It’s full of healthy bacteria for kids, Vitamin B12 for energy and brain function for kids high in calcium.

Greek yogurt is usually made from sheep’s milk and strained to remove most of the whey, giving it a thicker consistency. It is also lower in sugar because the process also removes some of the lactose.

Why don’t you try giving your kids greek yogurt with a handful of nuts, or mix in fresh berries like blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries or even honey!
