L is for… Lentils.
These are small seeds which are full of nutritious value. They are great when cooked and can add a nice texture to a curry or a soup. They have lots of protein and are often used as one of many meat substitutes by vegetarians. They’ve got lots of fibre and iron as well, which can help kids feel less tired throughout the day. They contain very little fat, which is great as this means can be a big part of a healthy and filling meal.
