Yummy homemade pizzas...


Preparation time: 15 minutes, plus 1 hour for proving

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves 4


175g strong white bread flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp fast action dried yeast

120ml warm water

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp pizza sauce

25g Cheddar cheese, grated

125g mozzarella, drained and sliced

2 tomatoes, sliced

A handful of black olives

8 slices of pepperoni (if you like).

Step 1

Combine the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl. Make a well and add the water and oil.

Step 2

Mix until the dough comes together, then knead for 10 minutes until smooth

Step 3

Place in an oiled bowl and cover with cling film. Leave to rise for an hour or until it has doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 220◦C (425◦C/Gas 7)

Step 4

Place on a lightly greased baking sheet, then roll the dough into a 25cm circle.

Step 5

Spread on the sauce and top with the cheese and tomatoes. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
